(Parent: Operations Layer)
1. Definition
O‑01 Opening Procedures define the first operational actions of the day that prepare the world of Ato Gaido® before any guest arrives. This process ensures the environment, systems, tools, and emotional atmosphere are fully ready before the first interaction.
Opening is not just setup — it is world activation.
2. Purpose
To create a consistent, predictable, and stable start to every operational day by ensuring:
- the environment is clean, calm, and aligned
- all tools and systems are functioning
- staff are emotionally and behaviorally prepared
- the world is fully “online” before guests enter
Opening sets the tone for the entire shift.
3. Core Principles
A. Quiet Activation
The world is brought to life calmly and intentionally — no rushing, no noise, no chaos.
B. System Readiness
All tools, equipment, and operational systems must be checked and confirmed functional before use.
C. Environmental Consistency
The physical space must match the universe: clean, organized, minimal, and emotionally safe.
D. Emotional Preparation
Staff must enter the world with a grounded, neutral emotional state.
E. Zero‑Guest Visibility
All setup happens before guests arrive — guests should never witness operational preparation.
4. Opening DOs
- Arrive early enough to complete all steps calmly
- Move with slow, intentional pace
- Perform checks in the same order every day
- Reset your emotional state before opening the doors
- Ensure all tools are clean, functional, and in place
- Confirm the environment matches the world’s visual standards
- Communicate softly with team members
- Use checklists to avoid missing steps
5. Opening DON’Ts
- Do not rush or multitask
- Do not skip steps, even if the store looks “fine”
- Do not start tasks out of order
- Do not speak loudly or create unnecessary noise
- Do not leave personal items visible
- Do not open doors before the world is fully ready
- Do not bring personal emotions into the space
6. Application in Daily Operations
Opening Procedures shape the entire day:
- Before lights turn on: staff reset emotionally and prepare mentally
- During activation: systems are checked quietly and methodically
- Before unlocking the door: the world must feel calm, clean, and intentional
- At the moment of opening: staff must already be in full Behavior Layer alignment
A strong opening prevents operational issues later in the day.
